Washington NC Historic District Walking Tour
I have been to Washington, North Carolina several times and I always wondered if the city had some historic walking tours. Well, they certainly do! I stopped by the visitor center and was delighted to find out that indeed there are a few historic district walking tours. Out of the few ones offered, I decided to go with the East Side Historic District Walking Tour of Washington, North Carolina.
During my self guided audio tour. I fell more in love with the city of Washington; known to North Carolinians as Little Washington. It took me and my dog Charlie about two hours to walk to the tour. The walking tour is 1.7 miles and I am telling you it is all worth it!
I saw so many different types of historic homes and buildings within the walking tour. My favorite ones were St Peter’s Episcopal Church, The Bragraw House and the Old Town Hall; which are all pictured below.

Old Town Hall
If you are eastern North Carolina and want to take an awesome walking tour, I would defintely recommend this one! Please keep in mind that these historical buildings are now either private homes or businesses; so be respectful of that.
