View of the Countryside in Tuscany, Italy
To start our day off each morning we ate faithfully at our B&B’s host small cafe. Not only was it free but it was also very delicious and we were never disappointed! Going forward, we took the metro to the meeting destination to meet up with our group for departure to Tuscany, Italy for the day. Just so you guys know. One of my all time favorite movies is Under the Tuscan Sun. Our guide told us that some parts of the movie were filmed very close to the town we were visiting. If you haven’t seen the movie you should watch it when you get a chance!
Our mode of transportation to Tuscany was a charter bus. On the way to Tuscany, we stopped by this place that sold lots of different things varying from wine to soap. What I really liked about this place, is the fact they were offering free samples of almost everything! I can’t lie and pretty much ate every sample that was offered to me! It was like I got possessed or something because I couldn’t stop eating the free samples of food and treats.
After about 30 minutes or so it was time for us to get back on the bus. The views were amazing on the ride up to Tuscany and I couldn’t allow myself to fall asleep and miss anything! Finally, we arrived at our destination in Tuscany which so happened to be a small town called Montepulciano. Why do you believe we were in this small town in Tuscany? Come on guys. For the wine!! Before our wine tasting our guide assigned us to a local guide that showed us around. Right after the tour was over, we were allowed to see some of the town on our own.

Wine Tour
I am an advocate of wine hence the reason why I came to Tuscany. So, before the official wine tasting, I had to do some exploring for one of the other local wine stores. The wine store offered a tour of their wine process and the history of it. It took about 10-15 minutes to take the tour and I felt as if it was worth it. My brother Joshua wanted to check out some cologne so that was the next thing we did. We also wanted some more gelato but we decided to wait until the for real wine tasting to not spoil our appetites.
The vineyard was huge and it was ran by two sisters. The sisters told us that wine making has been passed on for generations and that is how they make most of their money. The wine tasting was different than what I was used to but that doesn’t make it a bad thing. We were all seated at two long tables and every time a different food was served so was a wine that paired with that particular food.

What was shocking is that we were served pasta that was not made with eggs! I was like oh okay this is surely different. It was different but it was also GOOD! Everything served was tasty and Joshua ended up buying some wine for some family members.
Our guide wanted to make sure that everyone on the tour was able to catch a photo of the sunset. I must admit it was one of the most beautiful sunsets I’d ever seen. Moreover, you know we wanted some gelato after the pictures were taken and we did just that! I tried a strawberry flavor but it tasted different than the gelato in Rome. It wasn’t nasty or anything just simply different.

We all get back on the bus and head back to Rome. I couldn’t believe that we stopped at the same place with all of the free samples on the way back! I was tired and my belly was full! God must have made for me to be full so that I would not try anymore free samples! Yes, I’m that greedy! Okay, maybe I did try like 3 more samples! I just couldn’t help myself! The day trip to Tuscany filled up our entire day so we didn’t have to plan anything else. I know I had zero energy after returning back to Rome so the next best thing to do was take a shower and go to bed!
We purchased our tickets online through Viator by using this link https://viator.tp.st/VeQ7DCht for around $97.00 per person. We only spent money on the gelato and a quick snack which totaled to about 10 euros a piece. So, we were able to stay on a budget and not overspend.
Until next time Stay Fit!
