I Was Tired of Feeling Sluggish and Fatigued

It seemed as if I was ALWAYS feeling sluggish and fatigued no matter what I did or was doing. I figured it must be my diet as well as not exercising enough on a consistent basis. Instead of exercising when I felt like it. I decided I needed to come up with a consistent routine and also making sure that when I exercised it was going to be at least for 30 mins; for around four to five times a week. My exercise regime has to include dynamic warming up/stretching, cardio, core/abs and static stretching. You don’t want to do the same thing over and over again. So, I try to implement different dynamic warm up exercises such as walking lunges, butt kicks, high knees and jumping jacks to name a few.
As far as cardio goes. I implement walking, jogging, hiking, kayaking, boxing, strength training, pilates/yoga and biking for the most part. I try not to do my cardio in the same exact places like always going to a certain park or gym. I find that doing cardio outside, home workouts and different locations help spices things up, so that I won’t get bored. The utilization of free apps really helps with keeping up with the diversification of my cardio routines. Mottiv is a great free app to help with walking, running and strength training. Home workouts is not free (around $60 USD a year) but it is a great overall exercise option from stretching to pilates. Heavy Bag Pro is also a great (free) option to learn boxing and get in some fun exercise!
I had to become more conscious about my eating habits as well. Instead of eating whatever I felt like or determined by my current mood. I KNEW that was not the right thing to do, so I started to count my calorie intake on the free app MyFitness Pal. I began to not only feel better but look better! When I started being more conscious about what I ate, the less I was tempted by eating not so great food choices. I used to get really bad motion sickness but when I changed my diet; I no longer have the problem which has really been a game changer for me.
Perhaps one of the biggest game changers for me is meditating everyday for at least 10 minutes. The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is mediate and I feel so much better because my mind and thoughts are more clear. When your thoughts and mind are clear. I truly believe that you have better days! Additionally, it is beneficial for your mental and spiritual well-being. I like to use a free app Soothing Pod. I really enjoy this app because it is free, has various meditation themes and also has bedtime stories to help you better sleep at night.
