Washington DC Monument at Night During E-Scooter Tour

I absolutely love visiting Washington DC our great nation’s capital! However, I have NEVER toured the historical landmarks/monuments until last month during the night time. Not just any old walking around type of thing but actually booking a tour and viewing the monuments on e-scooter. You can also book this wonderful excursion by clicking on this link https://viator.tp.st/VeQ7DCht and inputting Epic Evening e-Scooter Tour in the search bar.

We toured several monuments and landmarks but I am mainly touching on the ones that I enjoyed the most.

United States Capitol

One of our first stops was the United States Capitol and the view at night was so beautiful, especially with the wind blowing through our hair as we approached the building on our e-scooters. Whenever I ask anyone from DC what part they are from, I know I will get one of four answers. I am from “Northwest, Southwest, Northeast or Southeast”. All these coordinates are separated distinctly from the Capitol building.

Before I knew it, we had arrived at the Supreme Court of the United States.

Since I am a United States Marine Corps (USMC) veteran, the War Memorials mean so much more to me and will forever hold a very special place in my heart. For that reason, I made sure that I gave detailed attention to the memorials because freedom is surely not free. Furthermore, I served in Iraq and my father also a USMC veteran served in Vietnam.

In my personal opinion, Abraham Lincoln is one of if not only one of our greatest presidents but also people of American history and his outliner accomplishments. The Lincoln Memorial was modeled after the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. The memorial sits at 190 feet long, 99 feet tall and 120 feet wide, made with Colorado Yule marble.

In like manner, Martin Luther King Jr. was also and will forever be one of America’s greatest influential leaders. The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial was huge and highly resembled him. The detail of this memorial was by far more than amazing.

After feeling that cool night breeze, we found ourselves at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial. FDR stood by his dog and I personally do the same! He literally took his dog everywhere and I definitely take my dog Charlie almost everywhere that I go.

It seems that not a great amount of people are aware that he used a personalized wheelchair, and personally I think it is cool so I had to take a picture of the one on display at his memorial

Finally, we ended our tour at the White House and I’ve seen that several times whether in the day or night. To sum it up, I thoroughly enjoyed myself on this e-scooter monument night tour and I highly recommend everyone to also enjoy this wonderful experience as well. Per usual Stay Fit & God Bless!

Our e-scooter’s! Mine is the biggest one 🙂
