Exercise Actually Is Preventive of Brain Diseases & Depression

by Beth Foster

Exercise is not only beneficial to your physical health but also neurologically. The nervous system and brain are essentially protected by exercise and ultimately assists in improving nerve and brain function. Proven research has shown that if a person exercises on a regular basis, exercise can protect the cells in the nerves as well as brain from depletion or impairment that normally occurs. With diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Personally, when I am feeling my lowest (depression sets in) it is when I do NOT exercise! When you exercise, your body automatically releases endorphins which are the body’s natural stress and pain killers. After releasing your endorphins, this process consists of a group of peptide hormones that creates an overall feeling of positivity and relieves pain. So, in actuality exercise is very positive as well as beneficial in anyone’s life. Why not feel better by exercising?

Remember to stay fit and God bless!
