I have run plenty of 5k’s in my life, but I haven’t really run a lot of races through a vineyard! Despite it being rainy in the start of the race, it still ended up being a great experience. The views within and along the vineyard were just so beautiful and serene. I honestly didn’t feel as if I was participating in a 5k!
The vineyard that hosted the race was Shelton Vineyards in Dobson, North Carolina. As a matter of fact, Shelton Vineyards just so happens to be the largest winery in the state of North Carolina.

I couldn’t stop taking pictures and videos of the vineyards even when I was running lol.

As you can see from the photograph, I just couldn’t stop smiling because I was just so excited! The race was family oriented, and I even met a woman who was doing the 5k at 85 years old, and she looked great and finished the race with flying colors!

All in all, it was so much fun, and I hope to run many more races through a vineyard!
You can watch more of my experience on this short video below.
