I know Valentine’s Day can be a little unkind or seem pretty much like a useless holiday. Especially if you are single, in a relationship and feel single or have just broken up with someone you thought you would spend Valentine’s Day with. Essentially this special day is genuinely about love. Before you can love others, you have to love yourself and know how to take care of yourself as well. That is when self care comes into play. Here are 5 self care tips that will make anyone feel self loved!

1.) Pamper Yourself
Have a home spa session by yourself. Why not do a facial or a nice bubble bath with candles, soothing aroma’s, a glass of wine and some smooth jazz. Going to a spa or getting your mani/pedi done at a nice establishment can work as well.

2.) Show Yourself Compassion & Gratitude
Write down what you are grateful for and why because you are worthy and loved. That alone is an accomplishment that you should write down just not for Valentine’s Day but everyday!

3. Meditate

4.) Go For A Walk
Take a walk around your neighborhood or your favorite park or trail. Walking is a great way to take care of not only your body but your mind. It also gives you a chance to have some self reflection.

5.) Treat Yourself
Treat yourself to whatever your heart desires! Go to your favorite restarurant, hang out with friends/family or go on a shopping spree or read a good book. Do whatever will make you feel that self caring love.
